Quotes for construction contractors

The quote is dictated on the job site.
Devik prices it.

Describe the work into your phone. The AI builds a professional quote with your prices, your province's taxes included. The client signs online.

Argument #1

One minute of dictation. A quote ready to review.

Real examples by trade. The AI never invents a quantity: whatever is missing becomes a question.

1 · You dictate

Dictation · 0:42
“At the Robichauds' in Riverview. Panel upgrade from 100 amp to 200, mast is fine. They want a level 2 EV charger in the garage, about forty feet of wire. Include permit and inspection.”

2 · The AI structures

  • Your prices, your library
  • Dictated quantities only
  • Provincial taxes
  • What's missing becomes a question

3 · Ready to review

How it works

Three moves, from the job site to the client

  1. Dictate

On site, record the work description — even offline, it uploads by itself later.

  2. Adjust

The AI structures the quote with your price library. Uncertain lines are flagged, missing info is listed as questions.

  3. Send

Professional bilingual PDF, sent by email or link. The client signs online — you get notified.

From the job site to getting paid

What Devik does, and what it never will

Every line below runs in production. The second sentence on each card says where the tool stops — that is an argument, not an admission.

  • Jobs on the calendar

Start date, duration, assigned member, week and month views. An .ics export sends the job into Google Calendar or Apple Calendar.

What Devik does not do — No scheduling: no drag-and-drop, no dispatch, no timesheets, no GPS, no two-way sync. Devik feeds your calendar, it does not replace it.

  • Online payment

Interac e-Transfer first, at no cost to you. Card payment on the invoice portal if you enable it, with the service fee stated before activation.

What Devik does not do — Your clients' money goes directly to YOUR Stripe account. Devik never collects it and never holds it: you carry the fees and any disputes, as you would with a terminal.

  • Deposit at signature

The client signs and pays the deposit in one motion. The terms are stated before the signature, never after.

What Devik does not do — Paying stays optional: the signature is valid even if the deposit waits. And the payment link stays reachable afterwards — closing the tab does not erase the path.

  • Invoicing

One-click invoice from an accepted quote, deposit / mid-job / balance schedules, standalone invoices for service calls with no quote, automatic reminders, CSV export for your accountant.

What Devik does not do — No accounting, no bank reconciliation, no accounting integration. Your accountant keeps their software; you send them a file.

  • Text messages

Text sits alongside email: sending a quote, quote reminders and invoice reminders. Never on its own — email remains the channel that carries the PDF and the link.

What Devik does not do — No conversation, no inbox, no campaigns. The number is not monitored: a reply gets an automatic message pointing back to the link or to your phone.

  • Photos in the quote

The crack, the flashing, the impossible access: you pick which photos go out, one by one. Finger annotation on mobile.

What Devik does not do — A photo stays internal by default. The one you publish is re-encoded: GPS location and capture time do not travel with it. No shared album, no public gallery.

  • Real job cost

"Did I actually make money on that job?" Expenses entered at the counter with a photo of the receipt, planned cost against real cost, the gap in margin points.

What Devik does not do — No timesheets, no receipt scanning, no payroll. An employee enters an expense without ever seeing your margin.

  • Off the grid

A dictation taken in a basement is never lost: it is saved on the phone and sends itself when the signal returns.

What Devik does not do — AI pricing needs the server: this is not a "works without internet" mode. The capture waits, you do not.

Trust

Made for how things work here

  • Bilingual end to end

Interface, PDF, portal and emails in English or French — the client's language, not yours.

  • Taxes for all 13 provinces and territories

HST, GST + QST, GST + PST: applied and itemized automatically for your province.

  • Data in Canada

Canadian hosting, signature with proof (timestamp, IP, consent), encrypted daily backups. The dictation itself is transcribed and structured by AI providers abroad, which do not use it to train their models — written down in the privacy policy rather than left to guess.

  • Offline without the stress

The capture is saved on the phone and uploads by itself when the network is back.

FAQ

What we get asked most

All questions
Does it work without cell coverage on the job site?
Yes. Capture (dictation, photos, notes) is offline-first: everything is saved on your phone and uploads automatically when the network comes back. A dead zone is a normal case, not an error.
Does the AI make up prices or quantities?
No. The AI uses YOUR price library. If a quantity wasn't dictated, it never invents it: it adds it to a list of open questions. Uncertain lines are flagged for review.
How does my client accept the quote?
They get a link (email, SMS or WhatsApp), review the quote online, download the PDF and sign with their finger with consent. You're notified immediately, with a timestamp as proof.

The app on the job site

Dictate the quote in front of the client, photos included. It is waiting for you, priced, by the time you are back in the truck.
